Portland-based producer Neil Kopp is responsible for generating some of the best independent films of recent years, including Kelly Reichardt’s Old Joy, Wendy and Lucy, Meek’s Cutoff, and Certain Women, which premiered in Sundance in January 2016.  He also produced Gus Van Sant’s Paranoid Park and Jeremy Saulnier’s Green Room.  His films have garnered awards and critical acclaim, and Kopp received an Independent Spirit Producers Award.

Neil Kopp

Portland-based producer Neil Kopp has been responsible for generating some of the best independent films of recent years. Balancing good taste, logistical know-how, and productive working relationships, he has had a vital role in bringing to screens the work of some of independent cinema’s most exciting filmmakers. He has had a fruitful collaboration with director Kelly Reichardt, producing her films Old Joy (2006), Wendy and Lucy (2008), Meek's Cutoff (2010), and Night Moves (2014)Kopp recently completed Reichardt’s Certain Women, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2016. He also produced Gus Van Sant’s Paranoid Park (2007) and Jeremy Saulnier’s Green Room, which premiered in the Director’s Fortnight at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. His films have garnered many awards and critical acclaim, and Kopp received an Independent Spirit Producers Award. He produces with Anish Savjani through their company filmscience.
